Different Types of Shackles

Shackles are developed in a wide variety of sizes, styles, types, and fabrications. With so many options available in the market, choosing the right kind for your business application is a daunting task.

Anchor shackle/Bow shackles
These two terms are often used interchangeably as both these types got a larger O shaped look. This round design allows them to lift loads from various directions. Even though the larger loop shape reduces its overall strength, it is still able to handle a larger strap.

Chain shackles
They are also known as D-shackles because of their “D” shape design. The smaller loop design of chain shackles is useful in lifting high loads primarily in line. They are made from both galvanized steel and stainless steel and all come up with different pin options.

Snap shackles
They are easy to use and quickly with one hand. They are excellent for job applications that need high speed or where it needs to be repeatedly connected or reconnected. They have lower working load limits and are not recommended for heavy-duty business applications.

Saudi Dutest is one of the recognized Crosby shackles suppliers in Saudi Arabia representing a wide range of lifting supplies and services. They strive to deliver proficient and robust goods and services in the region on a timely basis.
